There was no one around for miles - err.. kilometers.
There is a lot of logging going on, but it is of non-native trees. They imported pine from California. Now there is more pine here than in Califormia!
The road less travelled, really...It was just me.
A real live tuatara in the live exhibit inside the museum - or so they said. I didn't see it move. Not even a blink, eye movement or nervous twitch. The average lifespan is about 60 years, but they can live to be over 100 years old. This one is believed to have been born in the late 19th century.
