Another view of he very peaceful Coral Bay.
The pier from which Declan and I were diving. That fun abruptly came to a halt when Declan did a perfect dive from off the railing and hit bottom, coming up with his hand and foot bleeding and several sea urchin needles stuck in his foot.

Home sweet home. My Long Beach - beach hut on Pulau Kecil, the smaller of the two Perhentian Islands. I shared the hut with Declan, an Irish guy I met while waiting for the boat.

Bumbun Blau

Enjoying the brown, but refreshing Sungai Tahan (Tahan River) after conquering Bukit Teresek. For someone who likes his beaches to have crystal clear water, this was a big step for me.

Yippie! On the way to Bumbun Blau, I got my first leech. The wound bled for 3 hours.
Jordan, Claire, Katinka & I at Bumbun Blau. A bumbun is an elevated jungle hide, where you stay overnight to see wildlife.

Inside one of the floating restaurants with Claire.
It is hard to get to that restaurant after a heavy rain.
wild hogs in the expensive resort. I stayed on the other side of the river in cheap housing.
The much hyped canopy walkway, 40m up in the trees, a series of suspended walkways, totalling 450m, the longest in the world.
Me sweating like a horse, as I try to conquer Bukit Teresek, a small 344m hill.

Are those the boats to take us on the 3 hour ride into the jungle to the park?
Yes, indeed, they are.The view for 3 hours.
May as well take a nap.
Finally, we're there. A floating restaurant in the jungle.
