Meet my friend Samir. He works in a pan shop. I went to see my first Bollywood film (Rab ne bana di jodi) with him. I alse went with him to the mosque for Friday mid-day prayer. He took me to his home and introduce me to his family. Dirt poor. He and his mom share a 1-room place. She sleeps on a wooden bed, with no mattress. He sleeps on the floor.
Charminar...I wasn't in the mood to go inside. The fact that the entry fee for foreigners is 20 times that for Indians didn't help my mood - even though is still was not expensive. Anyway, it is Hyderbad's most famous monument.
