India: Images 2

I just love this - although, I give them a wide berth when I pass them on the street.
Dosa
I don't know what this was about. You've got a large picture of movie star, facades of a Hindu temple, a Christian church, an Islamic mosque, and lots of guys waiting to get inside.
Mysore, from a rooftop restaurant.
If you came to India expecting to see cows freely roaming the streets, you will not be disappointed.

India: Images 1

This refers to the road construction on MG Road, a very busy 4-lane road that has been restricted to 2 narrow lanes.
Women working in Bangalore.
See what the woman is wearing? A saree. Most Indian women dress this way.
Partying with modern Indians in Bangalore. They have strange liking for Pink Floyd. At another party, we watched the Pink Floyd movie. I'm still not sure what to think.
Indiana...hehehe

Obama wins!!

Where were you when you heard the news that Obama had won the 2008 presidential election? I was sleeping in a hotel room in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. After staying up all night listening to the people go blah blah blah on CNN, I muted the TV and decided to take an hour nap. I just happened to roll over and see the breaking news on the screen.

A year ago, I didn't think it was possible. And even while listening the Obama's victory speech, I kept worrying that when all the votes are counted, they might say oops, we called it too soon. Although I didn't have tears rolling down my cheeks, like Jesse Jackson, I did feel a very powerful emotion - not just because Obama will be the first black president, but also because finally an election where the candidate I voted for won!
